The North Shore Sentinel is a weekly community newspaper, owned and published from its office in Thessalon, Ontario, on the North Shore of Lake Huron. The Sentinel is a family-run publication, reporting on news and events in the local area, with subscribers locally, around Ontario, and across Canada.

The Sentinel is also a source for employment opportunities, promotion of coming events, and features on local residents and current and historical people and attractions.

As well, The Sentinel features a traditional print advertising platform for many local and regional advertisers.

SERVICES
OUR TEAM

The North Shore Sentinel is managed by Editor Brent Rankin and Publisher Randy Rankin, and accounting and office administration is provided by Nancy Rankin.

​

The Sentinel relies on a number of area correspondents who provide local news on the comings and goings in their respective areas in Central Algoma, as well a number of other contributing writers and public relation volunteers with groups, organizations, and clubs.
